I am a graduate of California State University-Long Beach. I received a BA degree in general art, and went on to obtain an MA degree in sculptural ceramics with an emphasis on color theory.
I attended Pilchuck Glass School for two summers, which introduced me to working glass in a torch. My work has been exhibited in the U.S., Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Finland, England, and Japan.
I live in Washington state and co-own Frantz Art Glass with my husband Mike. I also own Patricia Frantz Studios where I produce paintings, computer art, lampworked glass beads and jewelry.
Examples of my work and techniques have been published in many glass and bead periodicals, major books covering glass beads, and technical reference manuals for torch work.
I also do freelance writing , instructional DVDs , photography, and color ad work in many major glass art magazines.
